Bananas partnered with Coca-Cola to launch an innovative recycling initiative focused on brand trust, sustainability, and creating impactful experiences. This project aimed to change behaviors and educate the public about recycling options, linking Coca-Cola’s purposeful message with proactive environmental action.

 

 

Process

We created a branded Coca-Cola recycling hub and set it up on a popular beach. The container served as a focal point for our activities, symbolizing Coca-Cola’s commitment to sustainability while reinforcing brand trust. Consumers were provided with recycling boxes and encouraged to gather waste from the beach.

This initiative was designed to be educational and engaging, emphasizing that behavior change is driven by positive experiences and effective communication. Participants were rewarded for their efforts with beach apparel like skateboards, making the experience enjoyable and memorable. The waste collected was then sorted for recycling, highlighting the importance of proper waste management and dispelling misconceptions about recycling.

Result

The campaign successfully combined interactive experiences with a strong environmental message, collecting more than 380 kg of waste from the beach. This effort not only improved the local environment but also educated participants about recycling options. The initiative fostered positive associations with Coca-Cola, enhancing brand trust and showcasing the company’s dedication to sustainability. The innovative approach and meaningful rewards helped change behaviors, making the Coca-Cola recycling project a resounding success.
